Something interesting that's been in the news recently is a way to get FM radio on your phone without using data. According to Free Radio on My Phone, carriers disable a chip already in most smartphones so they make money off of streaming FM radio (which costs data). They're trying to get the word out. If you feel that FM radio should be available without data charges, be sure to take action and spread the word.
